I. Position Details

1. Position title: chair professor in the liberal arts

2. Work type: full-time, 3–5-year contract

3. Academic disciplines: languages, literature, art and all other fields involved.  

II. General Requirements

1. Candidates must be devoted to teaching, be professional and responsible and serve as an employee at Sichuan University in compliance with the laws of the PRC.

2. Candidates must have a good international reputation, with original and influential achievements as well as major contributions in the subject area, and they are recognized by the academic communities at home and abroad.

3. Age: under 65 years old (within the current year).

4. Work full-time during the contract period.

III. Responsibilities

1. Act as a pacesetter within the field of study, and lead the building of a first-class discipline.

2. Build a research team, carry out high-level research, and improve the academic reputation and status of the field of study at home and abroad.

3. Be involved in the relevant teaching and research activities.
